Tar Heel Bread as the Ultimate Bake Sale

I want to find a way to to incorporate non-profit work with my future bakery...

A couple of my friends have started truly AMAZING organizations like MorLove or Tugbeawo and I'd love to find a way to offer super cheap bake sale options--not unlike Krispy Kreme fundraisers...helping out some great causes!

Tarheel Bread Farmers' Market...

I'm so excited and I really want to get this project started! I want to find a way to partner with some Chapel Hill/Carrboro community members and bring the farmers' market to Franklin Street.

Here's what I'm thinkin'...

Once I get an actual bakery started, like a physical location, I want to invite people to sell their breads/sweets/produce at my shop on Saturdays and Sundays.

While my roommates didn't mind walking out to the Farmers' Market in Carrboro, it might be a *little* bit far for other Chapel Hill students, so I'd love to give people a chance to sell their goodies a little bit closer to campus!

Tarheel Born...Tarheel Bread

So, I was walking around Atlanta missing Chapel Hill today and I decided I want to A) write a cook book and B) start a bakery.

Unfortunately, I cannot do either of these things without your help.

You see, fellow Tar Heels, I am hoping to make this cook book a specifically North Carolina cook book full of tasty NC breads and sweets...but I need some good recipes!

Like I said, this idea just came to me today, so I'm still trying to figure out details of how I will go about collecting recipes, but I just wanted to throw the idea out there in case any of you were listening! :)

After all...

I'm a Tar Heel born!
I'm a Tar Heel bred!
And when I die,
I'm a Tar Heel dead...

Go Heels!
